Hi, I'm Mohamed

I'm an engineer, a father of 3 and a data enthusiast from Egypt. I’m a bit of a freak for evidence-based analysis and I strongly believe in data. Empowering people towards better decision-making through the use of analytics and business intelligence is what I do best, and I'm here to share with you what I've learned (and am learning) to help bring your own data to life and uncover the real stories behind it.
More About Me

Why do we need Business Intelligence?

Data is around us everywhere. From your smartphone, your tablet, your laptop and even your watch. And it's not stopping there. By 2020, there will be over 44 zettabytes (that is 44 trillion gigabytes) of data created. And that's actually a good thing because the things data can do for you are amazing, from driving your business forward to improving your overall life.

Information is the oil of the 21st century, and analytics is the combustion engine. ― Peter Sondergaard, Senior VP Gartner Research

So with all this amount of data, how can you embrace it, harness it, drive value from it, and make better business decisions based on it?

This is where Business Intelligence comes into play.

Business Intelligence (BI) can be defined as the set of applications, infrastructure, tools and best practices that enable access to and analysis of data to improve and optimize decisions and performance.

So in today's data-driven world, the sky is the limit when it comes to the benefits in which BI brings to everyone's life. I will try to summarize some of the main benefits below:
